The story so far
How we met
September 18, 2023
Our story began in 2023 at a personal development conference in Las Vegas. Conner had decided to attend at the last minute, knowing absolutely nobody and even sleeping in his car (he was really living the dream). While sitting alone against a wall, someone encouraged him to get up and meet people. Moments later, a bubbly, beautiful girl named Chalene invited him into her group. Little did we know that one small interaction would change our lives forever!
The World's Longest Friend Zone
February 6, 2024
Over the next two years, through conferences, random adventures, and countless conversations, our friendship grew into something special. During a flight to another conference in 2024, Chalene even rested her head on Conner's shoulder, telling him she only did that with people she truly felt comfortable with. Somehow, we still convinced ourselves we were "just friends."
Two Years and One First Kiss
October 31, 2025
On Halloween night in 2025, we went to Raising Cane's, visited a haunted house (which gave Chalene the perfect excuse to hold onto Conner), and ended the night watching a movie. Conner finally worked up the courage to kiss her, and we discovered we'd both had feelings for each other for quite some time. Apparently, two years of being "just friends" was long enough!
Our Favorite Adventures
From singing our hearts out on road trips to watching the sunrise on a Florida beach, we've made some pretty incredible memories together. But honestly, some of our favorite moments are the simplest ones. Trying new foods, cooking together, playing games, getting ice cream, and laughing until our stomachs hurt. We've learned that just about anything can be an adventure when we're together.
The Greatest Surprise Yet
August 6, 2026
In August 2026, we took a trip to Washington and Alaska. Throughout our adventures, we'd been filming silly videos of ourselves running into each other's arms and spinning around. So when Conner set up his camera at a beautiful, secluded spot overlooking Exit Glacier, Chalene thought it was just another video. But this time, after the spin, Conner dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. She was completely caught off guard, and there were plenty of happy tears! Turns out, the best adventures really are the ones you never see coming.
