Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 11, 2026

I Do (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to being transparent about how we handle your information. This policy explains what data we collect when you use planwithido.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use I Do:

  • Account information — your email address and a hashed version of your password (we never see or store your password in plain text). We also record your account creation date.
  • Wedding & planning information — your name, your partner’s name, wedding date, location preferences, guest count estimate, and budget range. This is the core data that powers your personalized plan.
  • Onboarding answers — your priorities (e.g., guest experience, staying on budget), vibe preferences, and planning style. These are used to customize your task list and AI recommendations.
  • Task & budget data — task statuses, notes, costs, and archival states that you create or update inside your plan.
  • AI conversation data — messages you exchange with Abigail, our AI planning assistant, to provide context-aware responses.
  • Usage & analytics data — pages visited, features used, session duration, and browser or device type. This is used to understand how I Do is being used and to improve the product.
  • Payment & subscription metadata — your subscription plan, billing status, and the customer identifiers assigned by our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card number, CVV, or other sensitive card details — that information is handled entirely by Stripe.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to operate, improve, and develop I Do. Specific uses include:

  • Account info — to create, authenticate, and manage your account, and to send account-related communications such as confirmation emails and password resets.
  • Planning & onboarding data — to generate your personalized wedding checklist, tailor Abigail’s suggestions to your situation, and display your plan accurately across all features.
  • Task & budget data — to display accurate progress summaries, budget tracking, and task statuses throughout your dashboard.
  • AI conversation data — to give Abigail the context she needs to respond relevantly to your specific wedding plan. We may also use platform interaction data in aggregated or anonymized form to evaluate and improve AI-powered features.
  • Usage & analytics data — to understand how I Do is used, identify bugs, improve existing features, develop new ones, and make data-driven product decisions. We may analyze usage patterns across the platform in aggregate to inform future product development and business decisions.
  • Payment metadata — to manage your subscription, process billing, prevent fraud, and respond to billing-related support requests.

We may also use aggregated or anonymized data — data that does not identify you personally — for purposes including product research, improving AI systems and models, understanding platform usage trends, and developing new features or business capabilities. This is standard practice for software products and helps us build a better experience for all users.

Third-party services

We work with a small set of trusted third-party services to run I Do. Each service has access only to the data necessary to perform its function:

  • Supabase — authentication and database hosting. Your account credentials and all plan data are stored in Supabase’s PostgreSQL database, protected by row-level security policies so only your account can access your data.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. When you subscribe, you interact directly with Stripe’s secure payment forms. We receive only non-sensitive billing metadata (plan type, status, customer ID).
  • Anthropic — the AI provider that powers Abigail. Messages sent to Abigail are processed by Anthropic’s API. Please review Anthropic’s privacy policy for details on how they handle API data.
  • Analytics — we use analytics tools to understand usage patterns and improve the product. These tools process data under agreements that limit their use of the information.
  • Email — account confirmation and transactional emails (such as password resets) are sent via Supabase Auth’s email service.

Your choices

  • Update your information — you can update your name, partner’s name, wedding details, and account settings from your Profile page at any time.
  • Delete your account — you can delete your account and associated planning data at any time from the Danger Zone section of your Account Settings. Deleting your account will permanently remove your personal data and planning information from our active systems within a reasonable time. Account deletion cancels any active subscription going forward — you will not be charged again after your account is deleted. However, account deletion does not automatically trigger a refund of subscription charges already incurred prior to deletion. If you believe a refund is warranted, contact us separately.
  • Request data deletion or ask questions — if you need help removing specific data, want to confirm what has been deleted, or have any privacy-related questions or concerns, contact us at alan@themetelyk.com.

Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, Supabase’s built-in authentication security, and row-level security policies that ensure your data is only readable by your own account.

No system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to contact us immediately at alan@themetelyk.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Children

I Do is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We are an early-stage product and this policy will evolve as I Do grows. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or through an in-app notice, and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of I Do after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
